Sandhivata (Osteoarthritis and Joint Stiffness)
Sandhivata is one of the most prevalent joint disorders described in classical Ayurvedic texts. Characterised by pain, swelling, stiffness, and a crackling sound in the joints, it closely corresponds to what modern medicine calls osteoarthritis. At its root lies a vitiation of Vata dosha that depletes the Shleshaka Kapha (synovial fluid) inside the joints, leading to gradual wear and deterioration of joint tissue. Left unaddressed, Sandhivata can significantly limit daily movement and quality of life — but with the right Ayurvedic approach, it is absolutely manageable.
Amlapitta (Hyperacidity and Acid Reflux)
Amlapitta is an Ayurvedic condition associated with aggravated Pitta and impaired digestion, often described with sour belching, heartburn-like discomfort, acid regurgitation and a feeling of burning in the upper digestive tract.
Common Cold
Common Cold (Pratishyaya) is an upper respiratory tract infection characterized by nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, and low-grade fever, primarily caused by an imbalance in Kapha and Vata doshas.
